Keiichi Chikushi is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Law, Sophia University, Japan. He teaches Administrative Law and Environmental Law. He was appointed as Full-time Lecturer at Yamanashi Gakuin University in 2008 and transferred to Sophia University in 2011. His research interest focuses on the judicial review of administrative discretion and environmental regulation.

He received his LL.B. degree from Sophia University and his Master of Laws and Ph.D. in Law from Sophia University Graduate School of Law. He also received an LL.M. degree from Vanderbilt University Law School, U.S.A.

His recent articles written in Japanese are “Administrative Discretion of Agency Rules in the U.S.” (2010), “Decentralization and Environmental Regulation of Local Government” (2010) and “Environmental Law Enforcement and its Reform” (2012). He also published ADMINISTRATIVE DISCRETION (2011, in Japanese) co-authored with Yoshinari Harashima.
