Woo-young Rhee

李 瑀渶

Professor Woo-young Rhee is a professor of public law, teaching and conducting research at Seoul National University School of Law in Seoul, Korea. Professor Woo-young Rhee earned her bachelor's degree in law from Seoul National University College of Law in Seoul, Korea (LL.B., February 1994), master's degree in law from Harvard Law School in U.S. (LL.M., June 1997), and doctoral degree in law from Stanford Law School in U.S. (J.S.D., March 2001). She practiced law in the State of California, U.S., as an attorney-at-law, in 2001 through 2003, and then joined the faculty of Seoul National University School of Law in Seoul, Korea. Since the spring semester of 2004, Professor Rhee has been teaching and conducting research at Seoul National University School of Law as a professor of public law. Areas and subjects of teaching and research include the system of representation, the election system, the legislative process, the constitutional adjudication system, the court organization and judicial administration, and the freedom of expression, primarily in the South Korean context.
