Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport (Airport Code: TPE)
Most international flights land in Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport which is situated 40km (24.8 miles) southwest of Taipei.
Transportation From Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport
Taxi: You can take a taxi outside the Arrival Hall. The taxi ride will cost approximately NT$ 1200-1400, depending on traffic. The trip takes about an hour by car/taxi. Note: Please ignore any solicitations of taxi service inside the Arriving Hall. Instead, hire one at the official taxi stop.
Bus: There are several bus companies in service. The bus terminal is located inside the Arrival Hall. Luggage is self served. The bus fare ranges from NT$125 to 150, depending on the location of the terminal stop in Taipei. You can easily find a taxi on the streets after you get off the bus.

Taipei Songshan Airport (Airport code: TSA)
Taipei Songshan Airport serves chartered flights, most of which are to and from countries nearby Taiwan. This airport is near Taipei City Center.
Transportation From Songshan Airport
Taxi: You can take a taxi outside the Arrival Hall. The taxi charges according to the meter. Payments are mostly accepted in cash only.
MRT: Take the Wenshan-Neihu Line (Brown line) from Songshan Airport Station to Technology Building Station directly. It takes approximately 15 minutes to walk from the Technology Building Station to Academia Sinica.

From Freeway No.1: take Neihu Interchange, continue to Chenggong Rd. and Xiangyang Rd., and then continue on Zhongxiao E. Rd and Academia Rd. You will reach the main gate of Academia Sinica on the right of Academia Rd.

From Freeway No.3: take Nanshen Rd. Exit (16.5 km). Head north in the direction of Academia Sinica, down Nanshen Rd., Jiuzhuang St., and Academia Rd., You will reach the main gate of Academia Sinica on the left of Academia Rd.
