Paul Craig

Paul Craig is Professor of English Law at the University of Oxford. He teaches as a member of the Faculty of Law, and has been a Professorial Fellow at St John's College since 1998. He also regularly visits the Indiana University Maurer School of Law in the US where he teaches administrative law and EU law. Professor Craig's research interests cover administrative law, constitutional law, EU law, including in this respect EU administrative law and comparative public law. His most recent books include Administrative Law, 7th ed 2012; EU Administrative Law, 2nd ed 2012; EU Law, Text, Cases and Materials, 5th ed 2011 (with Gráinne de Búrca); The Lisbon Treaty, Law, Politics and Treaty Reform, 2010; Public Employment Services and European Law, 2007 (with M Freedland, C Jacqueson, and N Kountouris). Professor Craig has also published extensively in journals and edited books on public law, EU law, and comparative law. He is a leading legal theorist on the development of proportionality analysis in the realm of judicial review.
